My BBW turkey needs to lose weight- the vet said to feed her 14% protein feed. I have looked in a couple stores. Does anyone know where i could buy it in store or online?

She is about 1.5 years old and i’m pretty sure she is a Broad Breasted White Turkey. She has eaten 16% chicken layer feed her whole life. Thanks for you help so far!How old and what variety is the turkey?
What percentage of protein have you been feeding throughout the turkey's life?
That would be a rare feed store that would carry a 14% feed.
Some stores carry a Purina game bird maintenance feed that is 12.5% protein that you can mix with any other higher protein feed to achieve 14%.
It is pretty easy to calculate the amounts.

How much of the oats and oats that you could buy at a grocery store? You could cut it with oats
No no, you can buy whole cleaned oats at the feed store in a 50lb bag, in the horse section. How much of the oats and oats that you could buy at a grocery store?
Okay I will look into the wheat. Thank you very much!No no, you can buy whole cleaned oats at the feed store in a 50lb bag, in the horse section.
However, I just looked it up and oats are 14% protein on their own, so that wouldn't actually work, sorry about that.
Wheat is 12.5%, so if you can get wheat, you would use 2 parts wheat to 1.5 parts of your 16% feed to come out at 14%. That is by weight, not volume.
Obviously, corn is much easier to find and it's way lower protein, but corn tends to be fattening, so I'm not sure if that would be a good recommendation or not...
