This auction is for 15+ Barred Plymouth Rock day old chicks. These chicks will hatch on Monday, November 5, 2012 and will ship Express Mail on the same day for a flat rate of $50.00 unless you elect for pick-up. Pick-ups must be made within one (1) week of hatch date. If you order other chicks from us on the same date, there will only be one flat rate of $50.00 for all chicks ordered, no limit. Barred Plymouth Rocks were exhibited in America's first poultry shows in the late 1800's and have been a staple of American farms ever since. They make for a great layer of brown eggs, but can serve dually as a meat bird. Average weight of roosters is 9 1/2 lbs and hens weight in at around 7 1/2 lbs. We have a beautiful flock made up of one rooster over six hens. They began laying at an impressive 5 1/2 months and are holding steady.
