When did he start gettin his wattles and comb? We have a dark brahma that is ten weeks and acts like a roo and has tail feathers in the up position like a roo but no comb and wattles showin up yet and no crowin at all. Our other two roos have had their voices for several weeks now and wattles.

It's gotten large/red in the past few weeks, so maybe around 10- 12 weeks? But we noticed differences in his compared to our 3 other chicks as early as 6 weeks. My husband was convinced at that point it was male. I wasn't sure as this is our first year having chickens and each one we got was a different breed.

There is no more question about it. He crowed today for the first time!

I am 100% sure that is a cockerel.
I see saddle feathers, sickle feathers, and huge comb and wattles.
