Alright so I have 2 17 week old silkies and 1 frizzled bantam cochin. I really only need help with one of the silkies. The cuckoo silkie and black bantam cochin I'm pretty sure are pullets. I need help with the other silkie. I think it's blue, but I'd like to have someone confirm that. It seems to be the runt of its batch and for some reason can't grow a proper crest. Do you think it'll grow out of the weird teenage phase? If she's a pullet I might keep her as an extra layer and mother hen and not breed her (unless she has a major glowup).

So I would like to know gender and color of the silkie and someone to confirm that the cuckoo silkie and cochin are pullets.

Lol she looks funny. I had a silkie hen that had a weird crest like that, and also no beard. She breeds with our Brahma rooster, I hatch one of the eggs and their daughter pops out as the weirdest freakin chicken I’ve ever seen. (It especially confused me because I thought our buff silkie rooster was the father) she’s got regular feathers, a THICK, gorgeous silkie crest and beard, dark gray laced with very dark gray feathers, thick feathers on the feet, (neither parent, despite being a feather footed breed, had practically any foot feathers) and also super adorable. She’s my favorite chicken

I also have a silkie/brahma mix hen. She turned out even more adventurous and bossy then her mother my bantam brahma hen. She's flown on top of my 1.5 metre fence multiple times. Crazy girl, but I love her.

Here's a picture of mine. Her name is Oakley. I'd love to see yours!

Update on the 3 chicks!
The cochin and cuckoo silkie are both pullets. And they're besties. They are always around each other.
I'm pretty sure the blue is also a pullet. Haven't seen any male behaviors or crowing. She hasn't shown any interest in the nest boxes either as far as I've seen, but to be honest for now as long as she doesn't crow or fight she can stay. I don't care what she identifies as.
