We have a ~17 week old Welsummer rooster that we need to re-home-- he's just started crowing and our landlord isn't keen on us having a rooster on her property. We got him from Alchemist Farms in Sebastopol when he was about 2 weeks old. He's beautiful and healthy, and has a docile personality. We had no trouble integrating him with our older hens. He's been fed Modesto Mills organic feed, and free-ranges about 6 hours a day. We're in Los Gatos, happy to meet up somewhere in the Bay Area, it'd be great to do so this weekend. We'd love to re-home him rather than cull him. Here are a few pics (not great, my boyfriend took them)...

Hope you found a home for your roo? If you are still looking, you could try advertising him on Silicon Valley chickens yahoo group, or California Poultry People North FB group. It's relatively rare to find a purebred, nice roo from a breeder who was raised on organic feed...someone may really like him.
