Is it normal for an 18 wk. old rooster to not have crowed yet?

Thanks!

Yep. Is it a large breed? Seems like the larger the bird, the longer it takes for them to mature. My Orpington rooster took quite a long while to start crowing and grow out those tai lfeathers.

He is a Barred Rock mix with some other breed... every color of the rainbow including black and white............ thanks!

If there are other boys around who are more dominant they may not crow.
It seems like that is what is happening with my guys. I have a silkie that is couple years old now and he is the dominant one over three 26 week old BCM cockerels which are at least twice as big. The silkie has been with them since they were chicks and just 5-6 weeks ago I removed the 3 pullets from the coop; so, it is just the 4 boys together. The silkie crows quite a bit, but the others hardly crow at all (the first time I heard one of the young ones crow was about 19 weeks). Wonder how long he can stay on top.
