Hi yall! I live in rural NC with my husband and felines, canines and 19 birds! We have 14 laying hens and 4 rouen ducks and a guinea. The guinea came about because we had inherited a RIR from my parents. She was the last of their flock that had not been taken by raccoon so she retired on our property! And then disappeared for 24 hours and brought back a guinea that immediately took up roost with the rest of them! Been here with the flock since Sept! I have had chickens since 2017 and are starting to fall prey to this thing called chicken math.

I like your guinea. She's knows what she wants and takes care of it herself.

Hi! :frow Welcome to BYC! That is a cute story about the RIR going off to find a friend. She didn't want to try to integrate all by herself. :highfive:

hithere.gif Sounds like you're building a nice collection of birds. I love how chicken math works, especially when you've got enough room to let it happen. Best wishes with your mixed flock!

Welcome to BYC. Many years ago I had a male Guinea fowl, Guiseppe, who adopted us.
