The first of my September chicks laid an egg today! Yay! I believe it was the white rock, since she's the only one that should be laying a light brown egg. My other chicks are leghorns, marans, and welsummers. I expected the leghorns to lay first, but I guess not. I'm very impressed with her! [IMG]

I wasn't expecting any eggs until at least next month. I don't know........I pulled the sweetest little egg out of the nest box. It's been a long time since I've seen an egg that small. It's always fun to get that first $50 egg, isn't it?
