2 babies trying to figure out gender

We have 2 chicks that hatched 2 days apart. They’re about 2 weeks old. We have a blue Orpington male & the bigger chick hatched from a Blue Ameraucana and the second small chick was from a Rhode Island Red. Both babies came out black with yellow bellies, whitish edge on their wings & white dots on their faces same spots. The RID is literally half the size of the other although they’re only 2 days apart. How do I tell what they are. I’m trying to figure out the best way to check I tried the whole vent thing… not happening 😂

What about wing /feather checks or does that only work with certain breeds
That only works if the rooster is a fast feathering breed, leghorns are a popular example, and the hen is a slow feathering breed. Unless you have another rooster your crosses wouldn’t work for this and you will likely have to wait until they are at least 6 weeks old

No we just have 1 rooster and he’s a blue Orpington. Thank you for reply
