2 Chickens Dumped - What are they? Pic Heavy

I inherited these two chickens from a neighbor kid. He hatched them for a science project. He had no idea what breed they were and said they are about a week old.

I was thinking maybe Cornish X?



These are 1 week old and nearly the size of my 4 week old barred rocks.

Better photos would help a lot. I also doubt the age, as stated. If they are pullets, won't you be pleased? Folks could drop off pullet chicks here anytime. LOL

ok i change my mind the one on right in post 1 is a pullet and the one on left is possible a roo

again i say welsummer on the pullet on right

still not sure about yellowish one with silver wings but i say roo on it

Silverfox, what are you basing your opinions on. Trying to learn.

i am basing my opinion on the baring gene and colouration

the fact they have a line going doen the head and back suggests they have a baring gene

with that sid its possible to produce sex links dependant on breed

the males are a yellowish silver down with a light but darker then body down stripe

and the girls are a reddish down with a heavey brown stripe

but again its all a guess at the moment

i could completely be wrong

and again im saying welsumer on the reddish one and welsummers are not sexlink so its all guess work right now
