One of my roosters faorite chick is completely bare on her back. I saw on here a pattern for aprons on here and made up a couple. I put one on my Elivs and you should see her strut her stuff. I put the other on Goldielocks and she freaked out!!! It was hilarious, once she stopped picking at the elastic under her wing she realized that she had something on her back and kept running all over the yard trying to get away from it. She is used to it now, but I just have to say that I am so proud of myself, I have NEVER sewn anything in my life, even though I have a sewing machine, (which my Hubby insisted that I get, God knows why). I'd post pics but I can't figure out how to post them.

That's great. I have one in one now that she no longer needs but I hate to take it off in winter. She never showed any sign of even knowing it was there. Tried to put one on another and she freaked so badly I gave up -- she wasn't bare or injured, just looking ragged.

Good job on making the saddles/aprons.

I only have one hen in my adult flock that has to wear one spring and summer. She's such a spaz about it too. The day I put it on her, she spends all day - and I do mean all day - walking backwards, trying to walk out from under it.

Oh and here's how to post pics. I know there's a restriction on how soon after joining you are allowed to post pics, but I'm not sure how many posts you have to post before you can.

And info. about the restrictions:

Gritstar that is so funny, I have never seen a chicken walk backwards. And thanks for the link on how to post.
