Hi I am worried about introducing my new baby chicks (I bought, not hatched) to my flock in a couple of months. So I was wondering if anyone has tried sneaking baby chicks under a broody hen at night? Thought if a hen thought they were hers, they would be accepted and protected by momma hen. Anyone ever try that? Thanks They are two or three days old.

I have tried to add a Lt Brahma hen to my flock she is 5 mths and they are very mean to her. So I will be selling her for her sake. A week now and they won't accept her. So, that is why I am worried about in the future introducing new young chicks a month or two down the line. Thanks appreciate any advice.

Yes, you can put them under the foster mom at night. They are young enough.
