My Australorp has been faithfully laying on her eggs, save about 10 to 30 mins a day since I last posted.

Today, however, Moma Hattie, my Brahma went in to lay, and decided to take over the eggs!

That didn't go well with Heidi, so now, they are BOTH laying in the nest box, and I don't know how, but Heidi has managed to get about 1/2 of the eggs out from under Moma Hattie, and they're splitting the nest!!!

    Anyone ever heard of this?

Their "show" is quite impressive...hehee...double "turkens" as we call them.

Also as it was getting later, Domino, our SLW, went to roost, but now acts as if she is broody and on a nest, but on the perch right above Moma Hattie and Heidi's heads.

    Is all this normal?!?

The breeds I got, Australorps, Brahma, RIR, and SLW (we didn't know she was a SLW until some kind poster here let us know) usually aren't broody right?

So...I collect the new eggs daily...but what do I do now?

The original eggs are "sharpied" so I can tell them all apart.

I actually have 3 Millie Fluer's sitting on 5 standard eggs right now. All in the same nest. It started with just one and the others just joined in. They are all getting along just fine so far. And it is almost hatch time. The eggs are marked as well, since that is Lucky's nest they are in. and she still lays an egg almost every day. I just pick that one out. Good luck. I sure hope all goes well with mine.
