On another forumn I found out that 2 of my TSC chicks are "meat birds" (Cornich X).. My two "Big" girls are getting huge. One litterally lays beside the feeder and eats, like shes too lazy to stand and eat..
I had gotten the chicks as pets, and now am at a loss on what to do with my big girls. Should I seperate them from the other chicks? How long do they live is not used for meat?
In college we culled our feed chicks at 12 weeks. They were standard broiler chicks from Tyson.. Even though it seems weird to say, im not against using these girls if they are indeed meat birds
Would love any advice.. Thanks
