2 months old and crowing

I purchased a “sexed hen” from a hatchery, he/she/it is 2 months old and has just started call and redonse crowing with my 4 week old barred rock bantam rooster. She’s my first polish chick and I have no clue how to sex them. If she’s crowing does that definitely mean she’s a rooster??

At 8 weeks old, the crowing and the size and color of those wattles... definitely a cockerel.

I read once "you won't know the gender for certain until they either crow or lay an egg". Still a couple months out from getting an egg, there's still hope. lol

I have 3 two month olds. One, Rose(Bud), started crowing this last week and is pretty persistent in announcing his opinion of things.

That saying only goes if there aren't any cockerel signs.

I am having the same issue. My deathlayer does not have the feather indicators. It’s only two months old but has been crowing for a week now.

that's a cockerel. Pullets don't crow, but hen's CAN. And no pullet is going to have that big of a comb and wattles at only 8 weeks.
