The chipmunky ones could be an Easter Egger (I have two who looked just like this -- but mine have unmistakably green legs). It might also be a Speckled Sussex. I think there is one other breed that these chipmunky chicks might be. On mine, the green legs started out as more of an amber-khaki-taupe -- so just because yours don't yet have green legs does not mean they won't turn later. Does that help at all? Jenny
i am totally sure the two are both ameracaunas!!!!i have 4 ameracaunas and they look exactly the same they are definetly both ameracaunas.!!!!i am sooooo excited for you!!!!that is just awesome that u have t2o ameracaunas!!!... sorry im just sooo exccited!!!!
I am new to this, so don't put too much stock in the response, but the darker of the two has markings on the head that look like the gold laced wyandotte chicks I just got. She is the one on the left here.
Many breeds are chipmunk colored like this, including ameracuana/EEs, but yours don't look like that to me. No puffy cheeks, legs are yellow, lines of coloring are too blurred. The darker one looks more like a Gold Lace Wyandotte, that's definitely not the face of an EE. The other...I'd say Welsummer. Campines are this pattern but gray legs, Speckled Sussex are this pattern but have very pink legs. Both cool looking breeds!
Ameraucanas and EE's are not the same thing I was under the impression that they are both the same thing....but the Americunas have standards color and so on; and that the EE's are non standard Americunas.
