2 of my girls I thought where dead

So i was late this moring bring out there mid morning snack (today they got spoiled they got there noodles, boiled egg and watermelon slices) when I opened the gate to there section of the yard I noticed 2 of my girls laying in front of the coop door (it's hard wire not solid) they where on there side head on ground half belly up wing half up laying there dead. OMG I cried and thought they must of been sick and waiting at the door for me to save them like I said i was late today. well when I cryed out to them they both looked up at me like what then saw plate in my hand and jumped up all excited for there mid am snack. So now I relize that the dobule doors is the only place the sun is shininng in and they must of been sunbathing. So now this is the second behaver that is normal for them that has scared the poo right out of me. the first time was dust bathing thought they where haveing a sezure now sun bathing thought they where dead'

MY ? TO ALL PRO CHICK OWNERS ANYTHING ELSE THEY DO THAT LOOKS LIKE THERE DIEING BUT THERE NOT AND PERFECTALY NORMAL? My heart cant take much more of this

You just cracked me up! I have seen the sunbathing and it does look like a seizure. A friend of mine has chickens and warned us about sunbathing. I don't know of any other, but all so true!

ours do that to me all the time! it scares me too, even though i know they're NOT dead, i still have a heart attack!

even when you know what there doing it still gives you a second or to of panic when you walk out and they look dead Cherrio did it to me yesterday
