Hi there! I have a 2 week old New Hampshire Red rooster that is sneezing and has clear liquid coming from his nose. The thing is that it only happens when I pick him up out of the brooder. If he’s down with the other chicks I don’t hear him sneeze. He’s otherwise eating, drinking and behaving normally. Is it because of the cold air? Or could it be excess water from him drinking? Just want to make sure it’s nothing to be worried about. Thanks for your help.

I would isolate him. He could have a respiratory infection and it can spread very quickly to the rest of the chicks. This will give you a chance to observe him and to be sure it's not a CRD, and if it is, you can treat it.

Dusty bedding, foreign material in the eyes and nares can set off sneezing. See how he does on just paper towels or puppy pads instead of shavings.
