I have two week old chicks yesterday found with bald spots on their back near the tail area. Could this be caused by parasite? Or is just pecking by others? 5 out of 7 chicks have this as of today. I have Quickheal (oxytetracycline + gentian violet) spray at hand. Should i use this? I might not be able to separate them one each as they are still not fully feathered. Mother hen no bald spot found.

Looks like they don't have enough space. Growing chicks need about 2 sq ft per bird until 4-5 weeks of age. Then they need closer to 4. Once fully feathered, they need OUT and as much space as possible provided them for foraging. I do not agree with the "minimum 10 sq ft per bird" guideline. I don't think it's nearly enough. I prefer at least 15 total sq ft per bird between the coop and run.
How much space to these birds have?

I have moved them outdoor into a fence cage which is quite spacious for them. But tied the mother hen as she was getting dominanting her chicks, she won't let them eat or drink sometimes and when a chick peck her she gets irritated and grab peck the chick. I am not sure if it is some parasite or just the chick pecking them? As 5 out of 7 chicks seems plenty to have bald spots....
