2 week old chicks?

2 questions: At what age can you begin giving chicks treats (and what do you recommend? )

A couple of my 2 week old Buff Orps are getting combs...some are huge and some are still fairly small. All are supposed to be pullets. Could some of them be older, or do they all grow at different rates? I was told they were all 1 day old when I got them.

As you can tell, I'm new to having chickens in my life. So many questions! I'm finding that there are also lots of different answers!
Just wondering what has worked for others.

It's a matter of opinion. Some people begin a little yogurt mixed with feed in the first few days, others wait for several weeks. Keep in mind treats need to be very small amounts to avoid getting their nutritional needs off balance, and they will need coarse sand or chick grit to grind up anything that needs "chewing" or grinding.
