This chick is two weeks old and has a crusty protruding navel - do I need to treat this in any way ? She seems to be growing - eating and drinking fine. I just don't want it to become a problem. - this pic was taken when I first got her home but there has been no change in its appearance [IMG]

I've had this happen before. The navel eventually disappeared and the chick grew into a healthy rooster with no issues. As long as it isn't infected (which it shouldn't be), it should be fine. Trying to remove it is dangerous and could cause an infection - you should just let it fall off on its own.
