I LOVE THIS. Can attach the hose to your rain barrel or water storage tank.
Can order this from Tractor Supply for less than $50. Even a small roof can collect water. This keeps the water from being knocked over. Useful for lots of different livestock. It's a must have.
Makes a GREAT gift.
We have these and when our hose broke (lawn mower accident) I had to haul water by hand again... uhh, not fun. So tomorrow I, you guessed it, on simplifying your chores -->> feeders.
Because if you can minimize the main aspects of care, you can have more free time, increase your flock, do other chores, work on something else, etc. Because your time and energy are limited and precious. But most of ALL, automatic water and feeding means you can leave and even if your neighbor or friend or family is just glancing to make sure everyone's looking ok, that means that grandma can help you out for a few days while you do something because there are no immediate chores. It increases your personal flexibility and YES it's worth every penny.

How do I have time to mess around with small chickens? And brooders? And moving 8 week old chicks from brooder to the chicken run in a pen to acclimate to our flock? How could I have time to care for my family, plus all this?? You have to simplify a few key things. Water is one of them.
