I have this one,, and it has worked trouble free since 2017. Can be mounted outside of coop, or inside. Inside mounting is suggested to have an external sensor,,,,, unless coop has many windows to activate light sensor.
May be slightly pricey,, but well made so well worth it . Change battery once per year. No electricity needed inside or near coop.
Have raccoons in my area, and they never succeeded in opening it.

This is the one we were planning on installing based on reading numerous reviews and a lot of the advice here - glad to hear another great review.
