Small but useful...yes snow marker sticks are a good way to mark any area that gets covered by snow, & I use them to mark where I plant something small, that I don't want to accidentally mow over, but also, my snow sticks have chicken related uses.

We get some windy days here & my cute chicken doors can get blown shut, so I use a snow stick in the ground that prevents the door from moving. I did install hook & eye for the doors but the snow sticks are handy to have right there in the pens. Here's why...When I need to shoo chickens in a hurry, due to a rapidly approaching storm, all I need to do is grab that snow stick...I can tap it on anything to get their attention & they immediately come running. If I wave my hand they know to go into the coop. I can round up & herd the whole flock in seconds.

Also, if they're free ranging while I garden, & I want to corral them elsewhere quickly, due to sight of a fox or hawk, the snow stick acts as a long extension of my arm. I just hold it out & they go exactly where I want them to, calmly but quickly. I can use the snow stick as a pointer, they'll go in the direction I hold it out & point. It only took 2 times for them to learn this, like kids practicing for a fire drill, it really is amazing and thank goodness because it has kept them safe during Hawk or Falcon dives.

I have one of those, used for exactly the purpose of herding my chickens, too! It's made of fiberglass or something, and the end has split apart into 4-5 sections. When I shake the stick, it rattles and BOY does it get their attention! I call it my "rattly stick". Indispensable.

I need a bigger toolbox for my Chicken First-Aid Kit. This one comes in a few different NFL team logos. My favorite, of course, KC Chiefs!
I store meds, vitamins, vet wrap, first aid spray, blu-kote, electrolytes, and so on. Lift-out tray is great for smaller items, med doser, syringes, q-tips, alcohol swabs, scalpel, tweezers, etc. Grab-and-Go when I do regular health checks or have an injury or illness to handle.

This is beautiful, and I'd love to add it to our cast iron collection!
Nothing better than roasted chicken in cast iron, low and slow, no lid. Stand that baby up, slather in olive oil and your choice of seasonings (I have a homemade rotisserie mix 🤤), pack in some veggies around it, pop it in the oven at 300 degrees for two hours. YUMMMM! Crispy AND juicy.
