I have these three 4 week old chicks. Please give me your thoughts. Of the 8 chicks we picked up, I'm sure that we have 1 roo, maybe 2, but I honestly have no idea with these 3.[IMG]

    Dottie Marvin

Mrs. Wilbur (named after a favorite rooster)

Thanks in advance! I have a questionable buff orpington, too..[IMG]

I think Ruby and Dottie Marvin is an Ameraucana (Ruby is the same look as mine and she's now 2 months old). They're still a little too young to determine gender but this is my best guess. I'm very sorry if this comes out wrong because genders and breeds of chickens are always messed up and they have to reach a certain age or weeks to determine that. But your Buff is more look of a hen.

Ruby, Dottie and Mrs. Wilbur are Ameraucanas! :)

The buff was hard to get a good picture of. "Her" comb is a little longer and pinker than the other 2, but I just wonder.

From the pictures, the first three appear to be Easter Eggers, not Ameraucana.

I'm sorry for my inaccurate results of the first 3 pictures. I just got a response on my Ameraucana breed and gender thread about mine is an Easter a Egger and now yours 3 is also an Easter Egger especially the first picture. I'm sorry for my inaccurate results! I'm not a vet, special avian breed determination specialist or whatever. :(

No worries. They were sold as Ameraucanas. I'm not too worried about it. They are sweet and beautiful birds. I'm mostly interested in the sex of the birds.
