3 babies so far

One hatched last evening, one during the night, and other just popped out a little while ago. I can see 3 more pips and another was almost out. They look so small compared to the 2 week old ones I've got in the brooder next to them.

Yes, the Marans are my own eggs. We'll have to keep in touch about the SLW....maybe we can do a swap. I'm anxious for some of my pullets to get old enough to lay. I hope they lay as dark as the hens.
