Friday - 3 eggs
Saturday - 3 eggs
Sunday - 4 eggs?

I asked the girls: Did you invite someone over? They were ravenously hungry, but they're always half-starved (or so they would have me believe).

So I guess the comets really are a production breed!

I'm very curious as to what I'll find this evening. There was nothing this morning.

you probably missed a egg that was hidden, all chickens lay 1 egg a day, even if it is a leghorn. i had 2 and they doulble yolks everyday. but no chicken lays more than 1 egg a day.

I beg to differ. My black star laid two in one day last week. She had just started laying. Others on the board have had the same experience.

I have 28 laying hens. I usually get 26 eggs a day. On two occasions I got 29. I can assure you I didn't miss an egg from the day before. They always lay in the boxes. Hope this helps.

PS. I have also had a triple yoker.
