I hatched some eggs from my backyard flock Monday, all the parents are healthy as are the other chicks.
One chick flipped last night in the bedding and could not get up. I isolated him to a warm brooder. He has diarrhea, mucous coming out of his mouth, and is laying on his belly with his legs stretched out behind, panting heavily. His eyes seem dry and dehydrated, but not his feet or his abdomen.
They all had crumble and water with chick vitamins. I've tried to get him to take some water but he just shakes it away.
