I just got a perfectly healthy looking SL Wynadcotte yesterday. I had her in the brooder with another chick yesterday and they were doing just fine together until the evening when I went to check on them. The younger chick was completely soaking wet, covered in food crumbles and was laying sprawled out looking like she was on death's doorstep. I got her inside and dried her off. She continued to lay like she was dead and was breathing heavily.
About an hour later, she got up on her feet and started chirping. I put her back into the brooder by herself with food and water for the night. This morning I could tell that she hasn't touched her food and I'm guessing not her water either. She sits upright now and continually dozes. I've used a small oral syringe to feed her some fortified water and a little yogurt.
Does anyone know if the yogurt is ok? I figured it would be good for protein and is easy to give with the syringe.
How often should I feed her?
