3 eggs from 1 hen...

I have a hen that just started laying eggs yesterday. Today she had 3 in her nest. I only have two birds that are laying and they have different eggs (one blue, one brown). What would cause this?

one of them can possibly lay two eggs! or didnt pick it up the night before .

I was thinking that, but I have 3 laying: one brown eggs, one blue and one green. Maybe she did one last night and two today? Is that normal?

Certainly possible for one the night before and 2 in one day. I have a hen that will lay 2 in one day occasionally, but it's not the norm. Do you have any pullets ready to start laying?
