I have my first flock - 7 hens all different breeds but all the same age. My production red was slightly sluggish yesterday. Today she started sitting back and looks like pictures I've seen of egg bound hens. I felt her abdomen and it feels like there is an egg there. I felt the abdomen of the other chickens to make sure I wasn't mistaking a normal abdomen. The others didn't have the same lump. So far, I've soaked her in warm water and massaged her vent/abdomen and put her in the brooder alone on a heating pad. Her eyes and beak are clear. Her vent appeared normal and she has even pooped normally since I examined her. I checked her feet too. It seems too early for her to be laying. Now what??
