two days shy of 3 weeks old. two barred rocks. one for the past week has a lot more white coming into the feathering and they no longer look super similar. both had small head spots and both have a dark leg wash. any thoughts this early?

edited to say they were vent sexed as pullets from the hatchery.

ok it’s been 5 days since these photos and this is concerning me now — suddenly seeing red in the comb (on both of them) and am I seeing wattles?! at 3 weeks old?? 😳

Still pullets. :)
wow thank you 😬😬

being obviously so new to this I would loooove to know what tips you off to cockerel at this age! would the comb and wattles be larger? are barred rock pullets’ combs just more pronounced at this age compared to other breeds? I know she has the dark feathers and dark legs which should mean pullet! the new reddish color there just had me wondering.

Generally by 4-5 weeks BR cockerel have bright red combs and wattles, and they are much lighter in color.
