~ 3 Week Old Chick Breed ID

My niece's class hatched some chicks and I am now the lucky recipient of two of them. I know its hard, but just curious if the breed jumps out at anyone. The black and white one has a pretty wide comb (rose?). They don't appear to be bantams.

There too young to identify. They need to be fully feathered which takes about 7 to 8 weeks.

Does the black and white have feather legs? I would assume brahma if it does

One is a brahma or columbian wyandotte, the other is maybe a buff orpington?

The white one isn't a brahma, it's got a rose comb.
What kind of comb does the buff one have?

I'd wait till they've got their adult plumage, personally. Juvenile feathers can be a bit wack.

A month later and I'm even more clueless. Black and white has what I believe is called a spangled pattern, but no spangled breeds look like (him?). Still clueless about the buff as well. I suppose they could just be mixed breeds.

the buff one looked just like a couple of the three-week-olds we have now. i suspect them to be buff orpingtons, but not sure. hope you figure out what they are ^^

Looks like you have a pair. Black and white is male, buff colored female. Mixed breeds.
