So last night, DB and I went outside to put the chicks in for the night and I did my nightly count. 13. So I recounted: 13. So I called DB in and he counted 13. So we started looking around outside, and didn't see any feathers or anything. I started getting worried and sad after a couple of minutes of nothing turning up. Then DB circled the garage again and said "There it is!" and shined the flashlight on it. It was laying really still so I walked over to it and it perked up a little. It walked right onto my hand and burrowed into my arm, trying to get warm. I guess it had gotten lost from the others (it was only 6 feet from the coop door) and hid somewhere and finally came out. That was a close one! So that chick officially got named Lucky Lucy.

I put this one in the post "The Fugly award goes to..." b/c she is just lookin ROUGH!

I think this one looks like they are models, posing for the camera:

The new chick! My little Americauna. My sister named her Robin since she'll lay blue eggs. She's still shy!

They are looking good! I'm constantly counting and recounting my 10. I just posted my 3 weeks pics today too! See the Signature links on the First Month page. Lotsa pics on that page, about 15 so far I think.

I think the GLW are beautiful, but didn't get any this time. I'm sure you are having a blast with yours as we are too. For some reason I don't think they are fugly at all. Probably because I'm fascinated by the changes moreso than their perceived beauty.

You should make a personal page! It is really easy to do, so you should give it a try.

Wow... we do have very similiar flocks!! I wonder if my white ones are Delewares too.

I feel like a (okay, I won't say it... oh wait, I have to!) mother hen, counting my chicks every couple of minutes!!
