i have three week old narransetts. How long befor you can tell the sex?
Some people claim they can tell early. I am wrong 50% of the time if I try early. At 8 weeks you can start to see some diferences. But then I still have many fool me. see http://extension.usu.edu/wasatch/files/uploads/Sexing turkeys-toms vs. hens.pdf
If you watch them enough, males will often display even before they grow any tail feathers. Its really cute when the boys are trying to look like men! They stick their little wings down and push up their little nubby tails. So you can recognize them by behavior if you spend a lot of time with them. By 7 or 8 weeks they should be strutting regularly and the neck bumps (caruncles) should be getting bigger on the toms, and by 9 or 10 weeks the snood should be elongating. This year, I started hearing some rookie gobbles around 8 weeks as well.
At 3 weeks you might just spot some differences in over all size but I think it's a bit early to judge with any certainty.
