    Hi! I love this site! I have two chicks from my first ever hatch, 21 eBay eggs. They were from a mixed lot. Can anyone tell their breed or sex? My family has been so supportive during my chicken addiction lol

    Mallory, the larger one, yellow comb and wattle, lightly feathered legs, fluffy tail that usually poofs out a little instead of pointing down in the photo below:

    Lily, smaller, black skin, extra toe, heavily feathered feet, thought she was a silkie but her head isn't fluffy:

    Here are a couple more pictures of our supposed silkie, she is pouty because I stuck some newly hatched chicks in with her, so then I let her go play outside. It's 80s today so she should be fine.

    I think the first chicken in the 1st post is s cockerel. The other could be a Silkie mix and I have no idea what gender it is.
