I have three 3wk old poults and one had two bloody stools today. They were brighter red. They are still in the brooder, not exposed to any other birds. That being said, the brooder was used for chickens and was cleaned before we used it for the turkeys. The brooder is in the garage, where we keep it every year. We clean the garage after every brood. None of our chickens got out of the brooder but our turkeys are flying all over the garage and I've had to chase them down and put them back in and put a cover on them. That's when I found the bloody stools. They are hatchery birds. Cocci? or Blackhead? or shedding the intestinal lining?
