3 Yolkes In One Egg

That's awesome! Boil me one up and I'll eat it...I LOVE the yolks! (even though they're "bad" for you!)

I got my first 3 yolker this spring from a young Marans hen. I thought it would be a double from the size of the egg, but I couldn't believe it when I saw the third. I think it's the first in 3 years of having laying hens.

Thats great! I am still waiting on my first egg. 6 of them are 19 weeks old and 6 are 18 weeks so I am thinking any day now.

I have a girl that is laying eggs the size of goose eggs, they have w/ jumbo full eggs in them? never had a 3 yolker yet, but... I think that is cool!

I would watch that pullet/hen closely, young birds who lay very large double/triple yolkers are at higher risk for prolapse and internal laying....just something to watch out for!

thats brill..iv only ever heard of a double yoker, not quite sure if it means anything though:)

That's so COOL! I have never seen it but I have heard of it. It's nothing to worry about it's just unique! If a double youlker or even triple yolker hatches you could get twins or even triplets!

Oh my....got a triple yolker last night....it's beautiful!
