3 Yolkes In One Egg

My chicken has been laying eggs with 2 yolkes for a few days now. But she has just had one with 3 in it. Has anybody seen this before?

Must be a young'un. My earliest-laying pullets laid 2-yolkers, until they got settled into laying. Never 3, though! Nice.

At that rate, you'd only have to use 1 egg to make a cake

Or make something that only calls for the yolks. That way, you're not wasting the whites.

my kids can't wait till ours start to lay. they have never had a store bought egg in my house. only at friends houses for sleep overs. anyways. my grandparents chickens lay alot of double yokers, which my kids call them twins. that's what they look forward to having. man if they saw triplets, i think they'd have a party to celerbrate.
