I was told male but I'm not sure the one on the right left is a male for sure

I agree better pic would help plus parentage. I am guessing they came from cock that was or was split Purple black shoulder and hen regular black shoulder so hen is purple black shoulder and male is regular black shoulder.
The lady had a pure black shoulder male pure black shoulder hen camo hen n Indian blue hen all in same pen she had a Indian blue male but he free ranged n couldn't get into the pen
'Pure' is a relative term in peafowl. The parent cock is most likely split to Cameo and/or the mother BS hen is really a Cameo BS.
