4 Black Australorps , 10 Buff Orpingtons and a Buff Orph. Rooster

We got 4 Australorps yesterday and they are doing fine.



Our dog is so good around them. If the chicks fuss to loud the dog runs to where they are to see what is wrong.

We are getting 10 Buff Orph's 3/28. I am so happy to have chickens

Oh thank you, the 4 chicks are scratch'n & Peck'n at everything, 1 is defiantly the "century" lookout chick, the smallest one kicks up the shavings and then plops down and sleeps. They liked the chick box for a little cave to sleep in last night. They all look good.

I hope they don't upset the dog to the point where he thinks he must jump in and save them. It wouldn't have a good ending.

We have that under control, it is just very sweet to see such a big dog display loving concern for something in his territory.

Enjoy those babies! You are going to love your Australorps!! Mine follow me around like drooling puppies looking for goodies or a soft lap. They are very affectionate and very hardy as well. Excellent layers too.
