Hi I'm Carrie and I am new to my new found Loves. Chickens!!! Oh my I never imagined, I have 5 breeds one of each, Rhode Island Red, Australorp, Ameraucana, Barred Rock and Golden Laced Wyandotte. They all appear to be happy and healthy with the exception that my Australorp has crooked feet. They are all 3-4wks. 2 are younger clearly. I am looking forward to many years of love and happiness, one of the reasons we got a Rooster. I spend a lot of time with them. Holding and interacting with them. So I hope our bond remains decent as they get older. Thanks and lots of love to all of the chicken world!

Hello and welcome to BYC. Those chicks look like they are coop- ready :)

Here’s a good link where you’ll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping chickens - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

There’s a link on the page above to the Learning Centre - it’s a great resource. If you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive

I wish! Its 30° here. Im in mid Michigan. We have a few weeks at best before we might get a little warm up. But more then likely a couple months before we see anything above 60°.
