4 days old - is it too late to sex?

    Hi there! I bought these two little chicks at a feed store. They were the smallest ones in the box so I assume they're a bantam breed but don't know what kind. They're about 3/4 days old now, is it too late to attempt to tell their sex by feathers?

    You can't sex them by their feathers at all. Chicks have to be specifically bred for this trait for it to be possible. You'll just have to wait until they are older :)

    As for the breed, they look like porcelain d'uccles from what I can make out. I think I see muffs on the one facing the camera in the bottom picture.
