So now that these chicks are 4 months old, don’t think anyone is going to be telling me to wait any longer! 😅 Number one i definitely a rooster he crows! I have my mystery chicken as number two, breed opinions? Then I have my red sex link, and my four silkies. One bearded white, one white non-bearded, and one black bantam. Thanks everyone!

I see a Sebright cockerel, a partridge Cochin pullet, and a Rhode Island red pullet.

The Silkies are more difficult. You may have to wait until they crow or lay eggs to be sure. But at 4 months I would expect to see bigger combs if they were male.
Thank you! I really really hope they are all hens, my mom fell in love with them!! 😂😆

Oh and btw thank you for helping me with the partridge Cochin! I knew she had some Cochin in her but was unsure. She’s very special I got her as a sick chick and nursed her back to health! 🙃❤️🐔

The silkies I am familiar with. The white looks female. My whites silkie roo chicks showed late with extra feathers on the back of their top knots. The black silkie looks to be male with a prominate rosecomb.
Best to you!

She is now almost 6 months old, and still not crowing I’m pretty sure it’s a she.. 🤔
