The chicken guy said that he will be getting buff orpingtons in Wed. Soooo I am going to buy 4 little hens for eggs and pets. I will buy a border for them with a light. chick starter food/food dish and gallon water dish.I use human pee pads for my dogs so I will put those in the bottom of my border anything else that they need? By the time the neighbers find out and take me to court I should be living on my 4 acres : )

Should I buy medicated or plain chick starter?

If you can find medicated, I'd try it for the first two weeks.

Paper towels are probably less expensive than pet pee pads.

Next week I'm introducing my brood of 12, 3 week olds to shavings over the towels.
