Does anyone know what the name is for this color pattern.
Too small to see. Post larger picture.
This is chick #2
The pics should get bigger if you click on them I posted them as large as they would let me.
They both look like easter eggers to me. Where did you get them?
They look like they'll be cool looking when they are full grown.
There are no specific color names on Easter Eggers. I have three noe with the color of the first one. I think someone called it a duckwing color. I just call it gold/black.
Yeah I know but the feed store called them ameraucanas I knew they were full of it. Still would like to know the color pattern
Those are Easter Eggers, so, there's no real name for them. The first one shown could be a Gold Duckwing female carrying columbian, but, neither of that is recognized as an Ameraucana, however common with EE's.
I thought they were kind of a partridge color. Does anyone know what is crossed to make these easter eggers.
Quote:EE's Easter Eggers from hatcheries in most cases are basically the same assortment of EE's bred to each other over generations, so, there's very little over time actually crossed in with them.
Lots think their EE's look partridge, but, they're not. Duckwing can appear to be so a lot but isn't,
