Is that even possible? Is that right. I can't believe it. Why would someone do that for any bird. And in my opinion an ugly bird.

Why would they do that. When they could import their own much cheaper?

Oh and look. The person says if anyone birds more than that they will throw in free shipping... How nice. [IMG]

Seriously though. The bid before it was 300 something. Surely they didn't mean to put 40 thousand. Probably 400. It must be a mistake....

    I think.

[IMG] Wow! I certainly hope that was a typo... I wouldn't pay $40K for the most amazing chicken in the whole world (unless I was a millionaire or something, and even then it's questionable)! But hey, to each their own I guess.

I think it's supposed to be $400, the previous bid was $376

I thought it was. But then the seller mentioned anyone going over. Why would they do that if it wasn't true. [IMG]

Holy cow. There has been several of these pairs and they have never gone over one thousand. Surely someone wouldn't be that dumb...

I'm leaning towards the poster being the bidder myself. Who in their right mind would pay that kind of money for a crap shoot????

pretty simple to figure out. they typed or meant to type 400.00. very likely the decimal point was missed. If the seller is dumb enough to let that stand and have all bidding stop on this auction he is a fool. Not a prayer he will collect that bid and it ended a bidding history that was jumping $25 a bid.

Quote:This is what I think too.

How could they actually believe someone would jump it from 300 to 40 thousand with a day left.

The "I'll throw in shipping for a bid over 40 grand" was edited later. Im guessing the typo caused greenfirefarms to make a little funny at all of our expense [IMG]

It is so wierd.. I was just browsing their website yesterday... found it randomly while research a very rare breed... hmm... really wierd.
