It is a confusing one, as the poof isn't as large as one would expect for a hen, but there are no streamers and no evidence of wattles or redness, when if it was a roo with such limited bearding, I would expect to see some. I'm going to agree w/ Danischi.

I was thinking pullet, too. Especially looking at the shape of the crest in the 3rd picture. I am not an expert though and the bird looks very young to me so possibly it just hasn;t grown any streamers yet
