Hi all, i knew it wouldnt be too long before i needed advice, I have a chick that has a very subtle clicky noise when it breathes,it was the sole survivor of 3 eggs that hatched 4 days ago. One died in the shell and the other 24hrs later after hatching. I had to assist hatching with this one as it got really distressed and was open mouth breathing in the shell, once hatched it also was breathing with mouth open for about an hour. Anyway it seems like a healthy wee chick, eating, pooing, drinking etc but i am worried about the noisy breathing. I started him on antibiotics the day after he hatched, but missed yesterday as it gives him the runs :( i have now started him on them again. I am pretty sure my humidity was too high after hatching, hence the fluid??? any advice appreciated :)
