I have been hatching some of my bantams and some of my neighbors Leghorn/EE mixes. Yesterday all the bantams hatched and 3 of hers today another hatched. So in honor of the day I told my neighbor that payment I want for hatching for her is to name this little one that hatched today Liberty. We have one more to go. Happy Independence Day everyone.

My third broody hatched one lone chick today. I really didn't think that egg would hatch because it got chilled several times when she got off to eat and went back to the wrong nest. We named it Sparky, but wish I had thought of Liberty. Congrats on the hatch...

I like Sparky too. Or maybe Sparkle. I didnt even think of that. I was just hoping she would hatch today cause all morning all I could think of was Liberty. I was even calling her that before she hatched after she pipped.

Lol, last year my chicks hatched on the 4rth and I named them Liberty, Patriot, Yankee, and Independence.

I guess great minds think alike, right? [IMG]
